KINGS CROSS FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL 2009
Tuesday, May 5, 2009
The Kings Cross Food & Wine Festival was on this Sunday past. The weather managed to hold it together for the day, at least by the time we got there around lunch time. Sunny skies, crowds of people and food, food, food. Yum.
There was beautiful looking chocolate; which was a topic of 'too expensive' at $60 for 27 pieces. Which I agree, it is. However, $2.20 for ONE chocolate I would pay...I have more of an issue with the size of the box. If it is really good chocolate, then you don't need a lot.
STUFFED ZUCCHINI FLOWERS & RISSONI
Monday, May 4, 2009
About a month ago, I had the most amazing stuffed zucchini flowers at Onde in Darlinghurst and have been wanting to try them myself since. Now, mine were hardly as divine as those ones but they were still very delicious.
The next step is now to go and ask them for the recipe! Which I will, because I will most definitely be going back there again for dinner; it was the best food I have eaten in Sydney since I have been here and I highly, highly recommend it.
KINGS CROSS MARKET
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Most Saturday mornings I try and get to the Kings Cross Markets. Located in Fitzroy Gardens next to the Alamein Fountain, they are open every Saturday from 9am til 2pm. Of course as with all markets the earlier you get there the better, especially if you want to get all the good fresh produce!
